 PREVIEW OF MONTHLY REPORT CONTENT

I’m someone who has to write! For a few years now, I have shared my thoughts and activities on Facebook. That is no longer satisfying. The people with whom I want to share these thoughts and activities aren’t all on Facebook. I’m more concerned with communicating with family and close friends.

With that in mind, I am going to attempt to produce a monthly report of what’s going on in my mind and my life. I will be unfiltered. That being said, if a family member or friend doesn’t care for what I write…you don’t have to check in to Look What I’m Up to Now (that’s the name of my blog).

This Preview will probably be the longest! So, let’s begin!

MEDICARE ADVANTAGE PLAN: This is all new to me and I hope it’s as good as it’s hyped up to be. Hopefully my healthcare providers really do accept the plan I’ve chosen. It will be a while before I know for sure because my visits to doctors don’t happen very often. For that I am grateful.

POLITICS: I will not use profanity to describe what is happening to this country. If you are a follower/admirer of the person currently occuping the White House in Wasington, D.C. you might as well skip over this part right now. That man is EVIL! He may be your leader, but he is not mine! Once he is out of office, and assuming someone less vengeful, dictatorial and more competent (Democrat or Republican) is elected, it will take decades to get this country back to the world position it used to occupy. I hope I live long enough to see our country be, once again, for We the People!

LUNCHING WITH FRIENDS: I love going to lunch with friends. We are all busy with our lives, but when we can, we enjoy getting together. Then, there is the small group of high school classmates that I have lunch with every third Thursday. This is a very important time for me because, at our age, we never know which one of us might not be there next time.

WEATHER: This winter has been predicted to be bitter cold with not much precipitation. I don’t recall predictions saying we would be subjected to strong winds almost every day! It seems we’ve had windy conditions for at least the last year.

PROJECTS: There are several that I would like to tackle, but I’m looking around to see where my motivation has gone.

*Line of ownership of the house my kids grew up in. It has recently been torn down. I think I have identified the original owner, but from there it gets obscure. I should locate the 1840 Census; locate the tax collectors records (I have some but not sure I have the correct ones).

*Research the history of the Osborn House (East Windsor Historical Society), especially Sam Osborn and his wife Hepsibah Lord Scoville Osborn. I’ve done some research on this but Hepsibah cannot be found in the historical record other than her marriage to Sam was noted in a church record. Just don’t know what church!

EXERCISE: On Fridays I go to the Enfield Senior Center for an exercise class called Stretch and Flex. I may pursue going to a gym again since my new Advantage Plan includes Silver Sneakers. I need to move more.

So that’s basically what I’ll be writing about. So, this is just a preview. Check in at the end of January. Let’s see if I really keep it going!
