Photos and a Poem

Photos

Both photos are of the Connecticut River at Great River Park in East Hartford—taken one day after the storm of 2/13/08. It was a storm of snow, sleet, freezing rain, and finally, all rain resulting in a layer of slop! On the left you can make out ice and debris in the current. On the right, note the gull in flight. The total scene inspired the following poem.
